I am a writer by trade. I have authored a memoir, traveled more than a hundred countries over twenty-five years, and helped build some of the internet's largest communities. Quieter than any of that, I am the person who remembers that the back door sticks in the rain and that the old dog needs the stairs taken slowly.
The West Coast is home. I lived in California from 2000 to 2004 and have been in Portland, Oregon, since 2004. I know these cities, and the difference a steady, familiar presence makes when you are far away.
